APEx Asia-Pacific Region Meeting - 15-17 March 2010
About the Meeting
The IMO will host the third annual APEx (Association of Power Exchanges) Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting in Perth in March this year.
The meeting provides an ideal opportunity for APEx Asia-Pacific members to meet their fellow industry partners while visiting one of Australia’s most picturesque cities.
Market operators within the Asia-Pacific will be able to exchange ideas, experiences and information. This exchange is extremely beneficial for both established and emerging markets.
The theme for the meeting is ‘Managing Capacity in Your Market’.
The Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting is timed to occur approximately six months after the APEx conference, also held annually, which is open to all APEx members from all over the world. The regional meeting was instigated as it allows greater exploration of the issues facing market operators from the Asia-Pacific countries only.
Participation is limited to APEx members, associates and observers from jurisdictions that are considering implementing competitive electricity market structures.
This will be the third APEx Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting. Last year’s meeting was held in the Philippines and in 2008 Singapore were hosts.
