APEx Asia-Pacific Region Meeting - 15-17 March 2010

The IMO recently hosted the third annual APEx (Association of Power Exchanges) Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting in Perth between the 15 and 17 March this year.

The meeting provided an ideal opportunity for APEx Asia-Pacific members to meet their fellow industry partners while visiting one of Australia’s most picturesque cities.

The Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting is timed to occur approximately six months after the APEx conference, also held annually, which is open to APEx members from all over the world.

The regional meeting has become an important event on the calendar of Asia-Pacific market operators as it allows participants greater exploration of the issues facing them.

This was the third APEx Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting.  Last year’s meeting was held in the Philippines and in 2008 Singapore were the hosts.

At the end of this year's meeting it was announced that the 2011 Regional Meeting will be hosted by Power Exchange India Limited.

We wish them well in their preparations and look forward to seeing all APEx Asia-Pacific members next year.

Thank you to all who participated this year. We trust you had an enjoyable stay in Perth and you found the meeting and associated events worthwhile.
