Expressions of Interest
In January each year, the IMO invites Expressions of Interest from persons who may wish to provide new capacity. Market Participants and other interested parties may submit Expressions of Interest to the IMO detailing their intention to develop generation and/or demand side management capacity. This is a non-binding process that provides important planning information to the IMO and other stakeholders.
Note: The IMO has extended the date and time by which it will publish the 2012 Request for Expressions of Interest under clause 4.1.4 of the Market Rules to 5pm on 29 February 2012. This extension is made pursuant to clause 4.1.32 of the Market Rules.
2011 Expressions of Interest
The IMO released its 2011 Request for Expressions of Interest document on 28 January 2011, and submissions closed on 2 May 2011.
The 2011 Summary of Expressions of is published below. In total, 8 Expressions of Interest were received, totalling 337.25 MW of potential new capacity.
