Gas Advisory Board
The IMO established an interim Gas Advisory Board (GAB) to advise to the IMO in the development of the initial Rules for the GBB and GSOO.
The GAB is a committee of industry representatives convened by the IMO to advise the IMO in the development of the initial Rules for the GBB and GSOO. The design of the GAB largely reflects that of the IMO’s Market Advisory Committee, which provides advice to the IMO in relation to rule changes, procedure changes and electricity market operation matters in general.
2013 Annual Review of the Composition of the GAB
The IMO has now formally established the GAB under the Gas Services Information Rules.
Current information (from 1 July 2013) about the GAB is available here.
Please find below information regarding meetings of the interim GAB from December 2011 to April 2013.
GAB Governance Documents
The sole function of the GAB is to develop an initial set of rules for the operation of the GBB and GSOO, after which the IMO will dissolve the GAB. Membership on the GAB therefore continues until the GAB is dissolved (subject to resignation or removal in accordance with the GAB Constitution).
The Constitution of the Gas Advisory Board and the Gas Advisory Board Appointment Guidelines are available below:
