Annual Review of MAC Composition
Each year the IMO is required to assess the composition of the MAC. During 2009 the IMO undertook a process of reviewing the MAC Constitution and associated Market Rules in order to develop a robust and transparent annual review process.
As an outcome of the review the IMO proposed a number of changes to the Market Rules and MAC Constitution and developed the MAC Appointment Guidelines. These changes enable the IMO to have a basis for making changes to the MAC membership on an annual basis and to make appointments to the MAC on the basis of merit. Prior to these changes the IMO had no basis specified in the constitutive documents of MAC for changing membership.
Review of membership for 2010 year
The IMO has recently completed its review of the MAC membership for the 2010 year. The current members of the MAC are listed here.
Review of membership for the 2011 year
The IMO will publish a call for nominations for the available positions (one independent Market Generator, one independent Market Customer and one representative of Contestable Customers) for the 2011 year during December 2010.
