Incident Investigations and Reports
The IMO publishes a variety of information and documents on the Market Web Site, including information required to be published by the Market Rules. Should an unusual market or dispatch event occur, the IMO or System Management, as appropriate, may provide a report describing the event. These reports are published in accordance with Market Rule 3.8.3(a) and 10.5.1 (s).
Under the Market Rules the IMO must make the following information available from the Market website:
- event reports explaining what happened during unusual market or dispatch events but not aspects of such reports which, in accordance with its confidentiality status class, cannot be made public
Investigation into the power system incident on 28 November 2007

The Independent Market Operator (IMO) is required by Clause 3.8.2 of the Market Rules to coordinate an investigation into incidents which are notified to it by System Management under Clause 3.8.1 and which the IMO considers to have had, or had the potential to have had, a significant impact on the effectiveness of the market. The IMO engaged the PA Consulting Group as an Independent Expert under Clause 3.8.2(d) to provide a report on the incident to the IMO.
This report is published in accordance with Market Rule 3.8.3(a) and explains the incident and recommendations that could be taken following the incident.
STEM Suspension - 22 February 2009

On 22 February 2009 failure of both air-conditioning units in our service provider’s server room caused overheating and subsequent failure of WEMS market related IT systems.

STEM Suspension - 30 October 2007

STEM Suspension - 2 June 2007
