Web Services
The Wholesale Electricity Market System (WEMS) was designed with 3 methods of communication:
- the Market Participant Interface - a browser-based interface;
- transfer of information via XML files; and
- web-services.
The first two methods are maintained by the IMO to ensure consistent levels of reliability and up-time. They ensure that Participants can access the Market Systems.
The WEMS also has the ability to interact with Participants via web-services. The below documentation file is provided to allow Participants to develop their own systems, should they wish.
